Problem
Businesses needed a way to track competitors in real time and convert web signals into strategic insights, including live monitoring of competitor website activity and automated reporting.
Approach
Developed the Live Scanner feature for real-time streaming of competitor website activity over WebSocket, engineering a custom adaptive video buffering and rendering pipeline using Canvas, requestAnimationFrame, crossfade rendering, and off-main-thread frame decoding for smooth playback. Built the scan history interface integrating live activity feeds with historical records, and led the migration of the AI chat assistant from WebSocket to Server-Sent Events (SSE), redesigning the client-side data transport layer.
Outcome
Resolved session management, logout handling, and data synchronization issues introduced during the SSE migration, and migrated the live scraping backend integration across scanning and monitoring workflows.
